Thousands of delegates and international media gathered in Hawai‘i for APEC Leaders’ Week providing Hawai‘i an opportunity to present itself on the world stage. This was a unique and unprecedented chance for Hawai‘i to showcase its people, diverse cultural heritage and talent, as well as its incomparable hospitality, world-class facilities and outstanding economic sectors. It also showcased Hawai‘i as a strategically-located global meeting place and drew attention to Hawai‘i’s meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions market, facilities and infrastructure.
