HTA's Signature Events are major festivals and events supported by the HTA which exemplify the unique Hawaii brand. Sporting Events, Major Festivals and Native Hawaiian Festivals are categories within Signature Events, and are described below.
Sporting events can enhance Hawaii’s economy, image and quality of life. Recognizing these benefits, HTA developed a sports marketing program designed to increase Hawaii’s sports presence to a globally competitive level, diversify the visitor experience, highlight the State’s diversity and build a sustainable sport tourism market. HTA has created an exciting portfolio of events, with partnerships that include the PGA Tour and LPGA as well as world championship triathlons, elite collegiate sports and varios rugby events. A list of the current sporting events supported by the HTA can be found on the Sports page.
If you would like your event to become part of our portfolio, please submit a formal request to HTASponsorship@ascendentsg.com. Due to the high influx of proposals received, we will only review those which are complete and include the following details: tourism support & benefts for community, media assets, content opportunities, alignment with HTA brand & objectives, and proposed fee. All submissions will receive a response regardless of the outcome of our review.
Hawaii is well positioned to take full advantage of its heritage and community pride in order to provide both visitors and residents activities, events and opportunities which express the fabric of a community while adding value to the visitors' experience. Major festivals help us to provide these experiences. Additionally, festival activities are strategically positioned during normally soft or "valley" periods to allure visitors to travel during these times of the year.
Festivals that portray the diversity and culture of Hawaii and enhance Hawaii’s visitor experience and enrich residents quality of life have been identified.
