The 18th Annual Honolulu Festival, themed “Bonding together, hand in hand,” honored the strong cultural and ethnic bond between Hawaii and the Asia-Pacific region with a vibrant showcase of musical and cultural performances from March 3-4, 2012.

“This premier cultural festival offers visitors and residents the opportunity to celebrate the values and traditions that make Hawaii and our Pacific-Rim neighbors so unique,” said Mike McCartney, president and CEO, HTA. “Year after year, the Honolulu Festival promotes cultural understanding, economic cooperation and ethnic harmony and we invite visitors from around the world to experience this unique event, along with the beauty, diverse culture and aloha spirit of the Hawaiian Islands.”

The well-attended the three (3)-day festival featured various performances throughout Honolulu, with the Hawaii Convention Center serving as the main venue, easing accessibility for both visitors and residents.  The festival wrapped on Sunday with a grand evening parade along Kalakaua Avenue in Waikiki, and the stunning Nagaoka fireworks show over the south shore beaches of Oahu.
