2012 Philadelphia Flower Show to Present Hawaii-Themed Event

This year, the HTA was provided a unique opportunity to partner with the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society for the Hawaii-themed Philadelphia International Flower Show, “Hawaii: Islands of Aloha.” The event, held March 4-11, 2012 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, is anticipated to draw 40,000 visitors a day who will have the opportunity to learn about the beauty and diversity of the Hawaiian Islands.

Besides displaying Hawaii’s exotic flora and fauna seen throughout the Hawaiian Islands, the show will also have Hawaiian music, hula, lei making and other opportunities for attendees to immerse themselves in the Hawaiian culture. For more information about the flower show, click here.

DIACRITICALS

HawaiiTourismAuthority.org recognizes the use of diacritical markings of the (modern) Hawaiian language including the `okina [`] or glottal stop and the kahakō [ō] or macron (e.g., in place names of Hawai`i such as Lāna'i). However, you may notice these diacritical markings have been omitted throughout the website to ensure the best online experience for our visitors. HawaiiTourismAuthority.org recognizes the importance of using these markings to preserve the language and culture of Hawaii and respectfully uses them in all communications beyond the online platform.
