The Prince Lot Hula Festival

The Moanalua Gardens Foundation will be hosting the 35th Annual Prince Lot Hula Festival on Saturday, July 21 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. The festival honors Prince Lot Kapuaiwa, who reprised hula in the Moanalua district. The HTA supported festival has become the largest non-competitive hula event in Hawaii.

“The Prince Lot Hula Festival is a cherished Hawaii event,” said Mike McCartney, president and CEO of the HTA. “We are proud to continue to support this festival, which celebrates Hawaii’s people, place and culture.”

Visitors and local residents are welcome to attend the free event to experience the Hawaiian culture through hula, cultural activities, workshops and food. For more information on the Prince Lot Hula Festival click here.

DIACRITICALS

HawaiiTourismAuthority.org recognizes the use of diacritical markings of the (modern) Hawaiian language including the `okina [`] or glottal stop and the kahakō [ō] or macron (e.g., in place names of Hawai`i such as Lāna'i). However, you may notice these diacritical markings have been omitted throughout the website to ensure the best online experience for our visitors. HawaiiTourismAuthority.org recognizes the importance of using these markings to preserve the language and culture of Hawaii and respectfully uses them in all communications beyond the online platform.
