Hawaii’s Premier Epicurean Event Returns with More Chefs and Events
The 3rd Annual Hawaii Food & Wine Festival will continue to highlight the connection between people, food and the love for our aina. Themed “Taste our Love for the Land,” the HTA-sponsored festival will feature the culinary creations of celebrity chefs from around the world, preparing dishes using the freshest produce and products sourced locally in Hawaii. Attendees will enjoy an epicurean journey that kicks off on Maui, for the first time since the festival was created. Tickets are on sale now for events taking place Sept. 1-9 on Maui and O‘ahu, ranging from celebrity chef cooking demos to luxurious tastings under the stars.
The star-studded lineup includes more than 75 internationally acclaimed master chefs and winemakers from the Hawaiian Islands, the U.S. mainland, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Philippines and Australia. Guests can enjoy unforgettable dishes using the freshest island ingredients prepared by Ippy Aiona, Chai Chaowasaree, Nobu Matsuhisa, Masaharu Morimoto, Richard Rosendale CMC, Andrew Sutton, Christina Tosi, Alan Wong, Lee Anne Wong, Roy Yamaguchi, Sang Yoon and more.
In 2012, the Hawaii Food & Wine Festival raised more than $200,000 for local culinary charities including Hawaii Agricultural Foundation, Culinary Institute of the Pacific, Leeward Community College Culinary, Paepae o Heeia and Papahana Kuaola. Since its inception in 2011, the festival has raised nearly $500,000 for these organizations.
