HTA Soliciting Proposals for its Product Enrichment Programs

The HTA is seeking proposals for its Product Enrichment Programs (PEP). Through the support and partnership with the four Counties and Hawaii Community Foundation (HCF), the HTA provides funding to numerous community initiated projects and programs that enhance resident and visitor experiences, create opportunities for economic development, natural resource preservation and perpetuation of the Hawaiian culture. These programs support what makes Hawaii a one-of-a-kind place to live and visit, highlighting Hawaii's people, place and culture. Programs include the Community-Based Natural Resources Program (NRP), Kukulu Ola – Living Hawaiian Culture Program (LHCP) and County Product Enrichment Program (CPEP).

“We look forward to supporting the many things that make Hawaii an amazing place to live and visit,” said Kelii Wilson, director of Hawaiian Cultural Affairs. “Through the HTA's Product Enrichment Program, we hope to give our community the opportunity to perpetuate the things that we love so much about our island home, while assisting them with their economic development and growth in Hawaii.”

DIACRITICALS

HawaiiTourismAuthority.org recognizes the use of diacritical markings of the (modern) Hawaiian language including the `okina [`] or glottal stop and the kahakō [ō] or macron (e.g., in place names of Hawai`i such as Lāna'i). However, you may notice these diacritical markings have been omitted throughout the website to ensure the best online experience for our visitors. HawaiiTourismAuthority.org recognizes the importance of using these markings to preserve the language and culture of Hawaii and respectfully uses them in all communications beyond the online platform.
